Constructing commercial teams that drive the adoption of disruptive processes, technologies and therapies across complex healthcare ecosystems, is Ron's professional joy. Ron's experience entails startups, private equity-backed companies and large global organizations. Ron is a serial start-up investor, including investments in companies such as AtaCor, Append, CardioSense, Cleerly and CorVista. Ron believes we can make huge strides to prevent heart attacks.
Ron joined CVAUSA, knowing the company operates at the intersection of innovation, commercialization, and leadership—transforming cardiology medical solutions into category-defining markets. Turning vision into execution, aligning strategy, structure, systems and culture that improve patient outcomes at scale, is the goal.

As Vice President of Operations for The Heart Network, Melissa Sanders leads the development and operationalization of the organization’s affiliate model, helping independent cardiovascular practices access the capabilities, resources and scale of CVAUSA while maintaining their independence.

As Vice President of Operations for The Heart Network, Melissa Sanders leads the development and operationalization of the organization’s affiliate model, helping independent cardiovascular practices access the capabilities, resources and scale of CVAUSA while maintaining their independence.
Melissa brings more than 15 years of experience in operations, project management and organizational development. In her role, she works across clinical, operational and business teams to translate strategy into scalable processes and infrastructure that support affiliate onboarding, integration and long-term performance. Her work spans the affiliate lifecycle, with a focus on building the operating model, tools and cross-functional partnerships needed to deliver measurable value to independent cardiovascular practices.
Prior to joining The Heart Network, Melissa served as Director of Enterprise Project Management at MedAxiom, where she led strategic initiatives across Consulting, Member Services, Ventures and Care Transformation Services. She previously worked within the Executive Office of the American College of Cardiology and has held previous leadershipand consulting roles focused on organizational performance, strategic planning and operational improvement.
Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Central Florida.
